Also once it detects an hdr signal, your picture options in the menu change. I could definitely tell there but maybe thats because i could actually see them side by side instead of switching in and out of hdr on other games. gears has a nice option to split the screen between hdr content and non hdr content. I played gears of war 4 and a couple others. In some things i can tell its working ok and in others not so much. The do start to distort and clip at the higher end of the volume slider but its still plenty loud before it gets to that point. Obviously its not a replacement for dedicated speakers or head phones but when you just want something easy to use, they're great. Speakers in the monitor I thought were great. Bigger than the one for the 650 but thats for the added power draw as well as being able to charge a compatible laptop over usb-c as well. The power brick on the 850 is pretty large. I believe the stand on the 650 is all plastic from what others have said. It has a aluminum base but the actual mast is plastic. Color uniformity was fairly consistent as well. The monitor is definitely brighter than my previous monitor although thats not hard to do since my last monitor was only 250nits. I watched a couple 4k streams in hdr and played a few games in hdr. Overall I thought the picture looked great. So ive had time to play with the monitor since i got it.
